how do I know if he likes me?

so i (f16) have liked the same guy (m16) for literally 11 months now. it will be a full year when summer camp rolls around. ive ‘known’ him for a while before that, like we knew of each other existing and we had friends in common but we almost never spoke. my best friend, also f(16), was friends with him through our church for a couple years before i ever met him, and at camp last year he was hanging out near us a bit and he was on my assigned team. he‘s really introverted and doesn’t talk a lot, so i didn’t know what to say to him, but we talked a little during team meeting times and when our friend group was in the lake. and on the last night of camp he sat with us next to me at the campfire and we talked some. i didn’t talk to him for a bit after camp, even though i had his number from a groupchat, but we went to a waterpark with our friends in august. in november he made a chat with my best friend and i asking to hang out on veterans day because there was no school, and we started talking and hanging out more. by now, we’re pretty good friends, it’s easier to talk to him, and i see him at youth group and church every week. we made a couple bets a while back, because (1) he said i was addicted to energy drinks and (2) he said i couldn’t beat him in a game that our church does every year. i lost both of them though. sometimes he sits in my car before youth group or service, ive driven him home a few times, and our smaller group of four hangs out a good amount. the biggest time that i was sure he liked me was a week or two at church, when i was the only other person from my group there besides him. he sat in my car with me before service and throughout the day we talked a bunch and were joking around. one of my more distant friends said it seemed like he was stuck to my side. at first, when i was telling my best friend about it the following day, i thought he was maybe only hanging out with me because i was the only one there that day from our close group, but he had other friends that were there that he said hi to but didn’t stay hanging out with. we also don’t text much, he used to text me a decent amount and we’d play the game pigeon games on imessage, but he doesn’t text me much or respond to my texts very often. but at the same time, we talk a lot more in person and it’s easier to talk to him now. basically all of my friends keep asking me why i like him because they think he’s ‘chopped,’ but i don’t think he is and i really like him. i don’t know how to tell if he likes me though.
