How did you find out you were lesbian?
I had a lot of obvious signs I was lesbian. I'm currently 17, these things happened when I was nine to twelve.
I went to swimming lessons a lot, and had to change in changing rooms, I hated it. I would always be staring at the floor cause I didn't wanna look at the women, I also felt super embarrassed cause I was like, "If I look at anyone does that make me a creep? Oh god am I a creep? Wait, is anyone looking at me?" and I still thought I was straight.
Then whenever I passed a Victoria's Secret I would always look away cause I was like, "If I look at the pretty women, someone's gonna think I like girls, but I like boys. For sure." I hated passing a Victoria's Secret at the mall, especially when my cousins, aunts, uncles, or grandparents would take me out cause they're all super Christian and homophobic.
Then, I started watching Sam and Cat, Jade West and Sam Puckett. I had HUGE crushes on both of them, and I would watch with my siblings so I had to try not to have gay panic whenever they came up on screen. That's when I started questioning,
"Do I... Like girls?! Am I a sinner? Oh god I'm gonna go to hell!" cause I have homophobic as hell family that raised me to think the lgbtq+ community is horrible.
At 13, I accepted that I was bi, and very quickly got out of the chains of homophobia (I know I'm Shakespear with that line). Then just last year I realised how repulsed and disgusted marrying a man and dating one feels, that's how I found out I am a lesbian (the word i still scary tho).
Oh yeah I also searched up "girls kissing" on the family computer since I was like, 8.
