Floor stain help
We are renovating an old home and needed to choose a stain yesterday! We will be painting the entire house a bright white so i originally chose Provincial bc it was a nice soft mid-brown that would hide some of the inconsistencies in our floors (living room is part maple, part fir from past remodels, upstairs is all fir). Once the sealer was added, the new samples are looking much darker on the fir and very splotchy on the maple. any tips on how to execute closer to the original swatch circled? I dont want to do natural bc it was leaning too yellow and I dont want it to get orangey over time. im also worried it will look busy with how narrow our planks are and where all the diff wood species patches are. But i also dont want dark splotchy floors! Thank you!
