 **Is it just me or is Madhya Pradesh painfully behind compared to other states?**

I was born and raised in Madhya Pradesh, and honestly, it feels like we're stuck in a different era while other states keep moving forward.

Where is the startup culture here? When people talk about innovation and entrepreneurship in India, they mention Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Gurgaon, Chennai, or even Ahmedabad. MP rarely enters the conversation. Most talented students either leave the state for education or jobs, and many never come back.

Then comes entertainment. We barely get major concerts, music festivals, or large cultural events. Artists who tour India usually visit Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, or Pune. MP often gets skipped entirely.

Sports aren't much better. International cricket matches are rare, and major sporting events hardly happen here. For a state with such a large population, our presence on the national sports and entertainment map feels minimal.

Shopping and lifestyle options are also limited. Sure, we have malls, but nothing that truly stands out or attracts people from outside the state. Compare that with places like Hyderabad, Mumbai, or Bengaluru, where malls, nightlife, and entertainment districts have become attractions themselves.

What frustrates me most is that MP has huge potential. We are located in the heart of India, have rich history, beautiful places, and relatively affordable cities. Yet somehow we struggle to create a strong identity beyond being "the state in the middle."

Sometimes it feels like MP is great for surviving but not for thriving.
