Tissue culture in sphagnum moss?

I will be attempting deflasking alocasia tissue cultures for the first time, eek! I have sphagnum moss, would they do well growing in that? I’ve only really seen them being grown in stratum/perlite, but I’d rather use what I already have if possible.
