Trying to find some cheats/cheat engine to fix an issue i have come across in Wizardy

Hey I have been really enjoying WIZ 8 but I ran into a issue. I was down in Marten's Bluff with the spider people who i was doing quests for, and grinding some magic in the main room where you talk to the man Spider-Guy for quests. I thought enemies could not attack me there but they did (it was those death adder guys that can 1-hit you) and I was letting most of the spider guys take care of it and they killed them. I then go off for days and days exploring alot of the map and doing quests and leveling up. I come back to Marten's Bluff to get morw quests but the Spider-Guy is missing and I am not sure what happened. I think he either died somehow in the fight, or possibly (and this is me guessing) he ran deeper into the complex since I know you can go into place if you decide to ally with the Rhino people. I have been trying in vain to find some kinda cheat/ cheat engine that would either let me A) clip through the walls/spawn the item to open the door or B) go back to a previous safe where thee Spider Guy is still there and level myself up to what i was because I did so much grinding. I found some cheat engine called CM-WZ8RT but i found it using WAYBACK MACHINE and i have no idea how prevesed the file is, because when I used it, it could not regcongize my game. If anyone has any idea on what I could do I would really appercaite it
