Finding My Way Around Base

So I'm only here(VA) until the end of July, but I refuse to buy myself anything expensive that I would NEED to take back home. I already spent a lot in FFG and holding in PCola before I came here. I also got some shit sent to me there, that I sent back before I got to VA.

All of that to say, I'd rather buy the rest when I'm at my ultimate(overseas, JP).

But for anyone who has been stationed there/knows someone who was (recently)stationed there, would they rather have bought something before they left or once they got there? Same deal with a car. Lmk.
