so, i was just chatting with my roommate and she goes “is that supposed to be blinking?” and confused i turn around and my 3ds, which has been in a shadowbox since its untimely demise more than a year ago, is suddenly blinking like its about to die! i panickingly rush and pry it off the wall and out of the box and plug it in and open it and BOOM. HOME SCREEN? CHARGING???? guys i dont know what to do? is this the jesus of 3ds’s?

on a real note: i took this 3ds to a local who said that the motherboard was fried and it would never wake again and i believed them. now im having my second doubts. the power button DOES NOT WORK, but (when i was problem solving originally) would hold a charge and was completely playable, but the power button was like… completely unusuable. do you think the only solution to fixing this is replacing the home button???? im scared to let it die again bc this was my first ever 3ds and i bought it when they first came out with my late father and i hold it dearly to me. id love to figure out how to save it so i can play on it again 😅😅

and yea, its still attached to the shadowbox foam i just genuinely dont know what to do!

presumably bricked 3ds rises from dead INSIDE enclosed frame over a year later
