Hey guys!

I am writing a Romantasy series, and of course given the nature of the genre, there is spice.

One way I let people know what they’re getting into with each chapter is I include a “🌶️” emoji on the chapters that have spice in it.

Now, sometimes I do fade to black, and I guess my question is this:

When fading to black, would you include a 🌶️? I have only ever included one when the scenes were graphic, but I’ve never felt the need to really put it in a fade to black scene if the implication of sex is there.

Any opinions are welcome! Just trying to make it as safe for readers as I can. (Sometimes they don’t wanna read spice out in public or on their lunch break, you know?)
