FRCC advisors
I feel like I didn't present myself in a very good way or talk about the right things when I met with my academic advisor. It felt like they just didn't like me, but another one who doesn't advise for my major was great so I just need some people who have maybe gone there to share some experiences or advice. Should I ask for another meeting to see if the vibes are better/maybe we were both having an off day and whether I need to ask to switch advisors, or should I just stick it out?
I'm a bit sensitive and when someone doesn't laugh at all or really react to things I say, I tend to go into over-explain mode and I'm just worried I ruined it and they won't be very encouraging going forward. Maybe some former or current students (even from other colleges) might have some insight that will help me here.
I don't feel super comfortable just immediately asking to switch because I don't want it to seem like I have some personal problem with them. They seem like a really nice human on paper, and I was super optimistic going into the meeting.
