taking a break from a relationship

Can anyone give me an advice, me and my partner of 1 year decided to take a small break and i dont know what this means. Im just worried because she completely wanted alone time and i dont understand that but in the back of my mind telling me otherwise she promised to come back a week later its only been a day no contact.

The reason is because we constantly have a misunderstanding and shes saying its her fault for that and she feels bad for the way shes treating me, and we do communicate afterwards and we really have a healthy relationship we always make up after a small argument or a big one.

Should i stop messaging her which i do every other hour and give her the space she needs, and wait till the end of the week to finally talk to her. I just need help please i’m not no expert so bear with me.
