Cinderella Run Breakthroughs (2025 -2026)

I am a new recent fan of tennis. And I find wta tennis more exciting than ATP because in WTA, even quaiifiers or wildcards can go deep in big tournaments.

In the recent Roland Garros Grandslam, Maja Chwalinska shocked the world by being the runner up. Depsite her rank being outside Top 100. And she was a qualifier.

Of course, as Filipino. I know the magical run of Alex Eala too last year in 2025 Miami Open. Where she made the semis while entering as a wildcard qualifier. And yes, she was ranked outside top 100 too.

And who can forget last years 2025 Roland Garros. Ranked #361 Boisson enter as a wildcard. And she made the semis!!!

This rarely happens in ATP iirc. Also, usually Sincaraz, Novak, and sometimes Zverev dom inate the slams and masters.
