My House

Silence rents the attic,

Skeletons rule the closet,

The cold embrace of AC,

Where  my feelings deposit,

The walls tell tales,

Of the stories never told,

The foundation starts to crumble,

Under the weight of pain lined with gold.

Sadness became a tenant,

It shared a room with pain,

Until both became dependent,

On the housemate called shame,

They claimed it as their own,

So forever they shall roam,

As they make this place,

A broken happy home.

In a place called misery

The town loves company,

In the house I reside in,

The feelings I accompany,

Joy was evicted,

I felt in in the end,

As love cut me off,

And left me with 2 friends.
