Salary Expectations for 23 yr old expat?

Hello!

I’m moving to London from the US (NYC) and am starting to look for jobs. I’m early in my career, and most of the job listings I’ve seen have salary ranges from £39-£45k (some ranging up to £50k, though I feel less confident in receiving offers from these roles).

I’ve been seeing a lot of conflicting opinions on what salaries are needed to live comfortably in London. For context, my definition of comfortable would include being able to eat out 1-2 times a week (nothing super fancy or expensive), go out to pubs/bars with friends 2-3 times a week (I’m not a big drinker, but am more interested in the experience/social scene of it all), the occasional experience (such as a museum ticket), and to have some spending money for new clothes every once in a while (thrifted or Zara type of stores). I am definitely planning to live with flatmates!

I’m from a high cost of living area originally, so I understand that London will be expensive. I don’t necessarily expect to be saving much money while here, but still want to be able to enjoy what London has to offer and to make the most of my time in London. Would I be able to afford the lifestyle I described as comfortable on £39-£45k (maybe up to £50k)/yr?
