Ofc, let me start that I don't hate all of it, but a big part of it, SPECIALLY THE ONE ON REDDIT, WHAT IS WRONG WITH SOME OF THEM?! okay, fine, they're 18, but dammit, I LOVE DDLC AND I THOUGHT THERE'D BE MORE ENGAGEMENT ABOUT THE GAME IN THE SUB ANS SUCH, BUT WHEN I SEE IT IT'S JUST SO WEIRD AND FETISHISTIC (if that's even a word), I can excuse adult content made of it to a degree, but is everyone a larper???? If not then I don't understand the mischaracterisations I see so often, in the first pic, for example, Yuri would not say that, idc if I get called whiny or if I'm not 'in on the joke' of either of the pics, I find it disgusting how it is so adamently defended to lewd the Dokis, yes, it's okay ig (?) but they're still in high-school so it still gives me the ick how much they're sexualised, and how innapropiate jokes flood every fandom space, YES, WOAH, YURI HAS BIG BOOBS, SHOCKER! SAYORI HANGS HERSELF, HOW FUN! OMG I'M SUCH A SIMP FOR MONIKA, SHE LOVES ME! SUCH A YANDERE! NATSUKI IS SO RUDE AND VIOLENT! I feel like I have a personal connection to the game, as ridiculous as it sounds, but I know others do, so the community being so full of gooners who don't care for the girls' stories is infuriating, and yes, I'm a woman, but I'm bi, I do love women, this doesn't come from someone who doesn't understand being attracted to women, neither am I against sexual content or fan service, god knows I love some here and there, but this comes from someone who expected better, you played this horror game with such an interesting premise and characters, and this is what you all talk about? Maybe it's too late and I'm too tired, maybe I'm just being a bitch, but yk what? To every fully grown man that says 'lewd the dokis', for everyone that only cares and comments of wanting to be intimate with the Dokis and nothing else, I'm sorry, but I despise you, these are all characters in a dire situation and with mental health issues yet some just see them as sex objects, stop being a pig and a creep.

I found comfort in DDLC, a game disguised as just any dating high school girls game that has existential horror, and even more importantly, showcases to everyone struggles that any teenage girl could have, abusive parents, sh, suicidal ideation and so on, it makes the Dokis feel more real, not just like a cute anime girl to date, but a person to care for.... I think that's why when I went into the community I expected better than gooning and stupid jokes.

I HATE THE DDLC COMMUNITY (as a DDLC fan)
