Anyone hooked up Google Antigravity 2.0 to the HA MCP Server yet? (Tired of copy-pasting YAML)
Hey everyone,
Like half this sub, I read The Verge piece on using AI via Model Context Protocol (MCP) to manage local Home Assistant setups. I'm completely sold on the idea, but every guide and flex post here right now seems 100% dominated by Claude.
I’m trying to run Google Antigravity 2.0 as my local workspace hub instead, but right now it feels like two totally separate islands. I’m stuck jumping between windows, manually copy-pasting raw YAML back and forth into my live HA instance, and constantly fighting formatting or spacing errors.
I know Antigravity natively supports the open MCP standard, and the community ha-mcp repo lists the Gemini/Antigravity ecosystem as a supported client. I want to bridge this gap so AG can natively read the entity registry, handle layout modifications, and stop the manual grind entirely.
Has anyone successfully mapped their mcp_config.json to talk to the HA MCP server bridge?
If you’ve got this stack running smoothly:
- What does your configuration workflow look like for getting the AG desktop app to talk cleanly to your HA instance?
- Did you run into any specific environment flags or handshake quirks that the rest of us should watch out for?
If anyone has a working JSON snippet or a solid setup guide for the non-Claude crowd, please drop it below!
