Atlanta 2026 show - My review
Sameer and the guys sounded great as they always do imo.
The crowd was pretty hyped for their classics: My Body, Superposition, Something to Believe In. Other wise it was a little mixed energy when newer stuff played. I was in the pit (like further back) and noticed people around me didnt really get into the new stuff. Maybe because its still pretty damn new and we're still getting into it.
I feel like Grouplove really kept the energy going, everyone I saw around me was jumping around and stuff. I get flack for saying this here, but, my opinion is that I think they should have swapped out some tracks for more arena type tracks. Examples like Tightrope, Silvertongue, Heat of the Summer, Nothing's Over, or even Cult of Personality from their last album. The dude behind me wanted to party hard, it was kind of hilarious he kept shouting things like "MY BODDDY! PLAY MY BODY. COME ON PLEASE". Lol.
Also interesting, mixed crowd. Young people, kids, millennials like me, and some people in their 50's that looked like they were on dates.
Favorite tracks they performed: Superposition, Something to Believe In (amazing), Bitter Fruit, Apartment, and the guest appearance by Grouplove.
Complaints/suggestions: already talked about the setlist, uhh some of the venue people that were directing traffic (?) were touchy-feely. Like whoa, they touched a lot of people in a confrontational way. Anyway. The seats are small, compact. Easy to bump into folks sitting or standing. But thats def not the bands fault, its a lot of venues. Just something to note for people going in the future. YTG likes to play here a lot.
Oh and no encore?? Interesting! A lot of people were confused. I told the people in front of me, yeah there is no encore based on the setlistfm website. I'm not sure why.
Highlights: The band's energy. Sameer sounds awesome. The crowd hyped for a lot of songs. The people working in the stadium were nice except for the people I noted. I was surprised the venue looked pretty much sold out by the time YTG came on. If you like their newer stuff and some 'deeper' cuts, you'd probably really enjoy the vibes. I will say it was nice to hear Mr Know It All and Titus for a cameo. I would have loved to hear Titus in full!!
