Obviously you don't need to Hold Horse Stance that Deeply, but the Above is the Ideal. You could Simply & Easily Sink your Hips an inch or more and accomplish what I'm talking about here. Find your Balance in Horse Stance and Work on Deepening it whilst Lengthening the Time you can Hold it, if you so Desire.

In addition to being a Great XurSize - e.g., Holding Horse Stance for 2min/Day - Simply ***SINKING THE HIPS*** when Standing can IMMEDIATELY Ground you in more Ways than Simply Grounding the Physical Center of Gravity. Fun Fact: my Sifu used to Hold Horse Stance "until (his) Sifu came back from Shopping", i.e., well over an hour+!).

Also another Martial Arts Fun Fact:

The Martial Artist above is also Holding Perfect Knife Hand. For some Reason, performing a Knife Hand with all 4 Fingers Xtended isn't as Strong as when Folding those 3 Fingers Down. You can easily Observe this by making each type of Knife Hand and then Striking your Knife Hand against any Surface, even yourself. The Knife Hand Collapses less Easily when those 3 Fingers are Turned Down, & is therefore Able to Strike Harder as it transmits more Force before Possible Collapse than the other Form.

And also yet another Sample of ample Xamples on Why Arm-Chair Theorists MISS OUT on so much that you only Find Out via XPerience, be it Martial Arts or Magick...
