Battlefield Veteran
True game vet from the beginning...
Noticing the same complaints like clockwork and kind of realizing the issue.
New players to the franchise and older players tend to clash with great friction on how the game should be balanced or perform π π π
Older titles did not suffer as Battlefield used to be a very niche game blending the accessibility of a typical shooter with a milsim without dedicating a great deal of time investing into learning controls (arma) and mechanics.
Personally no Railway was not a popular map it was just a nice mixture of map FEATURES but many people should remember it's just another repeat of what happened with Operation Metro.
No those maps aren't alike but they are basically what SURVIVED the servers once the population dipped heavily.
Siege of Shanghai was BF4s top map.
Class and Vehicle balance is a hilarious topic, older vets are scared of change rightfully so after the previous Battlefield literally stomping the IPs identity almost out of existence creating a really odd experience that didn't really work out.
They also delisted many of the older titles too, forcing alot of people to either workaround or use portal.
Battlefield is a combination of an Arcade Shooter with a Milsim. It mirrors reality but always acknowledged that this is a game creating the whole "Battlefield" moment.
Newer players will take a horrible time to adjust especially with BF6, at first it feels forcibly fast paced especially with ttk and average life expectancy will be staggeringly short unless...
You've already played enough Battlefield to know better...
Art imitates life and Life imitates art.
What this also shows is that a staggeringly and growing amount of people barely understand the nuances of modern warfare..
The complaints about vehicles being OP against infantry have never experienced Oasis on Bad Company 1 with a vet player who dominated every match by wildly flying the hind in circles spamming endless rockets π π
Thinking you just deserve a death if you walked out into a crossfire situation, there is cover available yes not all the maps are the best but it isn't THAT bad or even dare I say...
The game isn't broken you just have people who fail to comprehend the nuances of modern warfare.
Battlefield gives you both but your score and win ratio will improve if you just take a second to actually process what both teams are doing much better than using a more Arcade run and gun type of approach.
If you think the Engineer is nerfed, that's someone who hasn't played much Battlefield.
Buddy, equip mines and pay attention to the map and what the enemy is doing that match, that's like 5 free kills east without really much effort π
Stingers were hated because of noobs that want a constant power trip in a helicopter and can't handle how they actually work.
Same for the "merrygoround" effect.
This is not map design, this is just people who can't stop and think.
Seriously you're KDR will drastically improve if you decided to camp a close objective that falls for the circle effect and your going to win more matches by doing this and enforcing more map control as a player.
Why do these tanks seem OP?
Because they understand what a tank is, and they are translating that into a game that supports the reality much as a video game could.
Yes, RPGing in midair from a jet is fun, but it was ALWAYS niche, a trickshot..
In reality that games match was decided by the team who played smarter and kept calm
The team that lost, lost because they are so desperately addicted to dopamine they cant just relax and actually process anything even on the map screen...
Squad spawning is terrible, no you just have ZERO awareness and think a game should constantly pander to YOU specifically in any given moment...
BF6 ain't perfect, no Battlefield really was...
This community has become absolute garbage sometimes π
