Can anyone give tips for scratching? (A bit long post)

New rtd here, I finished my first day alone and I took the wrong truck so from there I already knew I wasn’t gonna scratch that day but does anyone have any tips on how to speed up things like I think I can drive the speed limit or 10 over (as the supe told me) because I usually go 10 under. How to do a fast start car routine? Like what’s a quick way to get back into the car and drive off without too much fidgeting? I’m using 2 hands but I still find it slow. I press the key fob, get in the truck, put my diad in the holder, press the green ignition button once, sit down and put seatbelt on, press and hold ignition button again to start the engine then slide my hand to the gearshift to put the car in drive while my left hand is releasing the handbrake.

I think coming in a bit early to sort my truck would help and I can write the pal number on the box to make finding packages easier. I want to prioritize driving to the stop over walking it because driving is way faster than walking so if I get to the stop faster that should cut some time. Supe told me not to scan packages in the car so do I scan them when I get to the door?? What if one of the packages is wrong and I have to walk back to the car then walk back out?

Sometimes orion wants me to do a stop at 1pm but there’s another stop like 3 houses away and then Orion will send me to a whole other area then go back to that stop so I’m thinking if it’s nearby like 3 houses away I’ll just disregard Orion and knock it out, maybe that will save me some time so I don’t have to come back to it

Also does anyone know how Orion works? One time Orion told me to go down a private driveway which wasn’t even an actual road and the supe and I were confused and he said it’s because drivers did it in the past. So after he said that it made me wonder if Orion just learns from what drivers do and the scratch time is basically the record that you gotta beat?
