Would you guys mind receiving postcards in envelopes?

I recently found out my nearest post office often misplaces post cards. I do realize, it's traditional to send out post cards, without envelopes. I'm worried I might get banned from the postcrossing website because of this.

The same source (a close friend of mine) also mentioned they give priority to correspondence that is present within an envelope (for some reason).
