Spruce Lake Ambush Camp/Horde

I've decided to run through and play DG again. I kinda remember some of the things but not everything. I know the easiest way to clear the spruce Lake Ambush Camp is by just setting the horde on them but I didn't expect the marauders to actually beat the horde. Will this clear the horde when the storyline starts?
