Honestly… SoFi is probably one of the best beginner-friendly banking apps I’ve used.

No monthly fees.
Clean app.
Easy bonuses.
And they’ll literally give you a FREE $10 just for turning on their free credit monitoring.

# How the free $10 works:

1️⃣ Sign up using the link
2️⃣ Turn on SoFi Credit Monitoring
3️⃣ Get 1,000 reward points
4️⃣ Redeem the points for $10 cash

That’s it.

✅ No deposit required
✅ Doesn’t hurt your credit score
✅ Free to use
✅ Instant setup

The credit monitoring basically just tracks your credit score/spending activity and gives you updates. Super normal feature that most banks already have.

And yes:
👉 You can cash the $10 out instantly using Apple Pay or Google Pay once connected.

# Why I actually recommend SoFi

Most “free money” apps are junk… but SoFi is an actual solid bank.

You get:
✅ Free checking/savings account
✅ No subscription fees
✅ Beginner-friendly investing
✅ Crypto buying
✅ Stock investing
✅ Loan options
✅ Cashback/reward points
✅ Unlimited referrals

They also constantly throw bonuses at users for:

* First stock purchase
* First crypto buy
* Direct deposits
* Loans
* Referrals

So even outside the free $10, there’s a ton of ways to make extra money with the app.

# My opinion

If someone asked me:
“What’s a good FREE online bank to start with?”

SoFi would honestly be near the top of my list.

The app feels way more modern than most banks, the bonuses are good, and they don’t spam you nonstop with garbage offers.

Even if you ONLY want the free $10:
👉 Worth doing.

Free money + a genuinely useful banking app = easy recommendation.
