How to Win with a Tier 3 MBA?

I’ve been thinking a lot about my next steps, and I’m almost certain I’ll be landing in a Tier 3 college. I know that means I can’t just rely on on-campus placements and will have to actively look for off-campus opportunities too. With the way the market is right now, I can’t afford to be just another candidate, i really need to stand out.

I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed because there’s just so much to consider, should I focus on case competitions, learning Excel, BI, SQL, digital marketing, or Tableau? It feels like there’s too much to do, and I don’t know what will actually make a difference.

I’m particularly interested in the marketing field, so I want to make sure I’m building the right skills and experience from day one. Since taking another drop isn’t an option, what all can I do, starting now or once college begins? that would give me an edge?

I don’t have the luxury of trial and error—I need to get this right from the start. Your guidance would mean a lot right now. 🙏🏻
