Are there any mods to break down items to their base components?

I've been hanging a bunch of lanterns around a coop game I'm playing to stop monster spawns. Just realized how easy it was to make Large Lanterns, which are just better for barely any extra cost... so kind of want to break down my existing ones and make them the Large variant.

Also, side note, can the Windmill automate creating anything, or just plates? I'd like to have it make nails for me but dunno if it can
