Private locker was removed from my condo unit
I am closing on a condo as a first-time buyer. It ticks all our boxes: >1,000 sqft, old concrete construction with good soundproofing, the exact location we wanted, etc. So I am going to buy it either way.
But digging through the status certificate, I noticed that our parking unit is designated as a parking/locker unit. The unit was advertised as having no locker. When I asked about the discrepancy, the sellers said management took their locker because it violated fire codes and ownership allocations were redistributed. They seem to have just accepted this decision and moved on.
I know it's a long shot, but given that the parking unit continues to be designated as a locker/parking unit, might management have some obligation to rebuild the locker to code, or provide a locker elsewhere in the building?
I don't want to move in and start pissing off my neighbours right away, but I'm curious if anyone has encountered a similar situation, and whether there's any legitimate argument to be made here?
