Turning 25 soon, steps towards Financial Independence
Works as a SDE in a large product based company with around 3 Years of experience.
Current Monthly situation:
1.5L post tax income
45k SIP
45k expenses
40k invest to buy discounted RSU through my company's program
20k to home contribution
Switching jobs this month, expected CTC to be more than double the current.
Net worth around ₹40L+.
Investments:
₹7.5L in mutual funds
₹2.5L in direct Indian stocks.
~$8k RSUs.
₹8L FDs.
₹6L EPF.
₹5L cash currently and another ₹5L expected soon.
Current SIPs:
₹15k Parag Parikh Flexicap
₹10k DSP Nifty Next 50
₹10k Motilal Midcap
₹10k Tata Silver ETF and gold ETF,
Potential future goal:
Buy a plot of land within the next 1-2 years (investment purpose, no immediate construction plans).
Questions:
Are my core mutual funds (Parag Parikh Flexicap, DSP Nifty Next 50 and Motilal Midcap) sufficient as a long-term portfolio?
For money that may be used to purchase land within 1-2 years, would you prefer FDs, liquid funds, money market funds or something else?
Does my overall portfolio look too conservative, too aggressive, or reasonably balanced for someone turning 25?
Best way to invest newly increased income?
Would appreciate any feedback, criticism, or blind spots I may be missing.
