Visiting SD Zoo from LA

Hey guys, just wondering what's the current situation with ICE/BP/DHS checkpoints in/around SD?

I'm coming from L.A to the zoo with 3 friends. One of them has a temporary work visa and she fears that they'll be a checkpoint and cause her troubles.
