Lilith is a political prisoner
Okay, I'm not the first person to say this. But I really don't think that Lilith is in Heaven by choice and isn't going to be a villain but an antagonist and I have evidence for why I believe this.
Evidence that Lilith is a good mom and wife
-Compare the royal portraits of Stolas' family and the Morningstars. A lot of the portraits with Stella and Stolas in them look really forced and the only times that there are genuine smiles are the ones with no Stella to be seen. The Morningstar portraits, there is nothing but genuine love and happiness. No forced smiles and they all look comfortable. If Lilith was a bad mom and wife, she wouldn't be this happy.
-The flashback scene during More than anything. We don't really see Lilith's face because Charlie is still pretty young and probably remembers her dad more than her. Plus, the time of day and what Charlie is wearing gives us an idea of why Lilith took Charlie away. Lilith was just putting Charlie to bed, why would a kid that young be happy to go to bed when she was listening to daddy? Lucifer is happy to see Lilith and hands Charlie over with no hesitation, because its time for bed. His sadness in that scene comes from still wanting to spend time with Charlie.
-When Lute meets Lilith and calls Charlie a bitch. Lilith's face was neutral at first until Lute insulted Charlie, then she gets visibly pissed. We don't see her eyes but you can tell that Lilith wants nothing more than to cave Lute's skull in for calling her daughter a bitch.
-At no point in time when we see Lilith in Heaven do we see her happy. She always looks conflicted and upset, especially when she looks at her phone. She gets this pained look when Charlie calls like she wants to talk to her but can't.
-When Lucifer was watching that duck movie, it was clearly foreshadowing what happened between him and Lilith. There is no dialog but we can tell from the facial expressions what is going on. The Lilith duck wasn't angry or happy while leaving the Lucifer duck, she was sad and conflicted. Like she didn't want to leave but had to. And when you watch the movie in the background, you can see the ducks happily reunited.
Evidence that Lilith isn't in Heaven by choice
-We don't really know what the deal between Adam and Lilith is but we can figure it out with context clues. Lilith used to do rallies to advocate for better treatment from Heaven. Adam very clearly hated the idea of giving the sinners anything less than death. When did Lilith disappear, same time as the beginning of the exterminations. Now Lucifer could have agreed but he never gives any indication that he hates sinners enough to want them all dead. And even if he did, why would he ever do something that he knows would hurt Lilith. He was so pissed off when Vox mentioned that.
-We know Adam was the one to purpose the exterminations, who is to say that he didn't use the rallies as a reason and made it look worse than they actually were. He was willing to get Vaggi to try and sabotage Charlie because he hated the idea of 'snowflake bullshit.'
-Lilith being in heaven as a political prisoner makes sense because it would prevent an uprising that Sera was terrified of.
-If Lilith was just on vacation then why would Sera be so pissed off when Lute mentions talking to her? Sera threatened to have Lute arrested for treason, just for talking to Lilith. What an oddly specific reaction, and Sera told Lute that she had no authority to talk to Lilith. Why? Because Lute isn't high enough in rank to do so.
-Lilith suddenly calling Charlie now that there is some peace? Because she is being released since there is no reason for her to stay. It would make sense why Lilith didn't take any of her family's calls. She couldn't talk to anyone because she was a prisoner.
-After getting released and with everything that happened, I think Lilith will be highly skeptical that Sera and Heaven could change. Not in redemption, since that's been proven. Its heaven she'd have beef with after everything and that will be her tension between Charlie. Charlie's more optimistic world view and Lilith being justifiably upset with Sera for her actions. This will end with Sera genuinely showing remorse, which she does, and Lilith seeing this. I wouldn't be shocked if Adam visited Lilith regularly to taunt her, because that just feels like something the first man baby would do.
