The battered euro waif bit strikes me as communicating something similar to what Lana is trying to say with her music. Maybe she's making a bigger commentary than i'm about to give her credit for. She's way more successful than I am.

I saw the same pattern in some of the older beatles music. The pattern seems to boil down to *certain men* are too stupid, incompetent or crazy to succeed in a persistent relationship with women without resorting to violence or some form of problematic or abusive behavior (i guess to keep them from other men?)

I wonder if these edgy takes would perform so well with a comparative examination of the history of the Hmong people in China alongside the other peoples. I am looking forward to learning more about Hmong people in my Asian American studies classes. My tall dark and handsome friend that had more sex with more women than any of us by a factor of at least 10 hooked up with the hot Hmong best friend of my Chinese ex.
