Baby fell off bed at babysitter
My mother in law watches my baby once a week while I go to work. My husband works remote but still needs help with the baby because he has to jump on a lot of teams calls and videos. So he goes to his mother’s house and his mother watches her all day while he works in the back office of the house. This past week his mom put my baby in her bed for a nap. (My baby is 7months old and can crawl very well already.) His mom then went out to the kitchen to visit with my husband’s sister. My daughter woke up and crawled off the bed. Supposedly they heard her screaming and ran to the room immediately and then examined her and said she calmed down rather quickly. They took 20 minutes to decide whether to go tell my husband and then decided to go ahead and tell him. My husband told them to call the teledoc that our insurance offers. They told them to take my baby to the pediatric urgent care just to be on the safe side so my husband then called me and told me to meet him there. My baby is fine, just has some bruises. I need advice though.. I am extremely upset that no one decided to tell me or my husband for 20 minutes. When you’re talking head injury that can be a lot of wasted time. Then what I was mostly upset about (because I know accidents happen) was that neither his mom or sister called me after the fact to tell me what happened offer an apology or simply just check in to see how I was feeling about the situation/give me an explanation. They had contact with my husband only throughout the whole ordeal. Should I be mad that I never heard from them?? Or is talking to my husband enough? I’m not sure if I’m overthinking this.
TLDR; my child fell off a bed while in the care of my MIL and SIL and I never got an apology, explanation, anything from either of them. Should I be angry?
