How can i make money in the summer without working a 9-5 in the summer.

I am very passionate about working on a flexible schedule and the jobs around me are not very flexible with my busy times. I have always wanted to start a side hustle but i dont know what will truly work and can make me some cash. Im not expecting more than even a thousand a month, although obviously it would be nice. But i am curious to know, what really works. How can i get my parents off my back and do something i enjoy while also working on my own time.
