BACKROOMS THEORY :

The entity that chased the main character in the first episode of the web series was actually not trying to hurt him and was trying to help him . The reason he pushed him down that hole was because he knew it would bring him back to the real world and that’s why he only pushed him back and didn’t go down with him to kill him . The noises he’s making the whole chase was him screaming , but not out of anger , more of him trying to scream at him to escape and leave this place but he can’t talk properly . I’m assuming he might have previously been a human but was sacrificed by the ASYNC .
