10th std ka kaleshhh

So this happened when I was in 10th standard.

Our Marathi period was going on and the teacher was calling everyone one by one for homework checking. That's when I realized I hadn't written the last two words of one answer. I had left it unfinished due to some emergency and completely forgot about it.

I quickly started writing those two words before submitting my notebook, but the teacher noticed. She immediately got angry and started shouting, saying, "Homework means doing it at home, not here. Put that pen down!"

I kept trying to explain that I had completed the entire homework and had only missed the last two words, but she wasn't in the mood to listen.

She punished me along with students who hadn't done the homework at all and threw us out of class for the entire period. Then, after the lecture, she came outside and told us to bring our parents the next day.

Now, bringing my parents was a huge problem.

A little backstory: my brother and I studied in a school around 15-16 km away from home. My father used to drop us there before going to work. Also, my father's relationship with the school authorities wasn't exactly great because he had called them out on a few things before, and they didn't like that.

So the next day, my father came to school with me. I went to class while he went to the faculty room.

About 10 minutes later, my ex-best friend came running into class looking way too happy and told me that my father was arguing with the vice principal and the teachers downstairs.

Meanwhile, I was sitting there praying for the ground to swallow me whole.

The rest of the day was terrible. My class teacher humiliated me in front of everyone, and almost every subject teacher seemed to know about the incident.

Later, a clerk aunty told me what had happened. Apparently, the faculty had told my father to take my admission out of the school if there was such a problem. My father immediately recorded that statement and said he'd show it to the main branch.

All this drama happened because I forgot to write the last two words of a homework answer.
