Giving Class 10th improvement in B.Tech 1st year to fix my 10/12/B.Tech criteria for VIT placements?

Im joining VIT B.Tech this year

My Class 10th score is my lowest, making my profile a 7/7/7 baseline

I plan to give a Class 10th improvement exam as a private candidate during my 1st year to push it to an 8 or 9+ CGPA (I can handle managing the study load, so no need to focus on that)

Placement Eligibility-

Will VIT let me update my 10th marks in VTOP mid-college?

Will companies filter me based on this newer, higher percentage instead of my admission one?

Is it worth it?

Will bumping my 10th slot from a 7 to an 8 or 9 make a major difference for top-tier companies, or do they just look for a 60%/70% baseline?

Any issues?

Will a 10th marksheet dated after my college admission cause any administrative issues with VIT or red flags during corporate background verification (BGV) later?
