Formal Diagnosis at 30(m). A lot of puzzle pieces fitting together.

I just got a formal diagnosis, at 30 years old. I had joked with my wife (29f) that I had a number of autistic traits and we would just move on thinking they were quirks.

Thinking back on my life, actually allowing myself to reframe it all, is disorienting. I'd never seriously thought that I was actually on the spectrum (except the one time I got high and told the person trip-sitting that I thought I was autistic for some reason and then never really thought about it again).

I knew that 2 of my 5 brothers were diagnosed autistic when they were around 12, but for me I always thought I only have depression and anxiety. After speaking with my most recent psychiatrist (my first since I was 16), his reframing of it as autism and anxiety leading to all of the other issues makes so much sense that it is almost too perfect. My mind is reeling, wondering how I didn't realize or see it sooner.

I don't even know where to start or why I'm posting, but here we are. Thanks for your time.
