What did you get your masters in?

I’m a first generation college graduate in my family (BA elementary education) and I’m thinking of getting my masters. The main reason I’m wanting to do this is because I’d get a 7k pay increase (I’ve been teaching for 5yrs).

I’m unsure what I want to get my masters in. I’m honestly not interested in getting it in anything related to education (I’m hoping to make a career pivot one day), but am unsure if my masters needs to be related to education in order for me to get the pay raise. I know it’d depend each district and am going to assume that it’d need to be related to education, but idk how this works. What did you get your masters in? Are there any ways to find scholarships and such? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I don’t have much guidance on this.
