UP Diliman BS Social Work or UP Manila Organizational Communication

Hello! I got into the UP Diliman DPWAS and I got offered BS Social Work, which I accepted. But my mom told me to appeal UP Manila Organizational Communication (which I'm just currently researching). Considering many different factors, I don't know what to choose. For any graduates or students or people who can help, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Course: I really wanted to go to Psychology but since I didn't get in, this is the next best thing. Plan A included I'd shift to Psychology in UPD but I've read that it's so hard to get in due to the sheer amount of competition. Plan B, meanwhile, is shifting to Behavioural Science in UPM. I don't want to work in an office but I do love helping people.

Practicality: My goal is to immediately work after college. As mentioned, I don't plan on studying in a corporate setting unless I have to, I prefer to be more hands on.

Distance: This is negligible on my end, but on my parents end, not so much. They of course want me to go somewhere close, while I have my reasons not to go home. I just want to learn to be independent and explore (which I believe I can do with either UPD or UPM).
