2027 spring transfer

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a student at Georgetown University in Qatar (SFS) and I’m considering applying as a transfer student to NYU Tandon for Electrical Engineering (possibly Mechanical Engineering, but I’m leaning toward Electrical).

Current GPA: 3.78
A-Level Mathematics: A
A-Level Physics: B
A-Level Arabic: A
AS-Level IT: A
Statistics and Probability credit
Calculus I waived through A-Level Math
Planning to take Calculus II next semester and aiming for an A
Taking a heavy course load (around 19 credits) next semester and hoping to raise my GPA to around 3.85–3.9
One challenge is that my university doesn’t offer Physics I, so I’m looking into taking an accredited online calculus-based Physics I course elsewhere.

Do I have a chance or should I aim for a different university due to the major switch?
