G skill ddr5 hot with expo enable?

Tech Support

Recently, on a friend's recommendation, I bought some G.Skill Trident CL30 RAM to complete my build. However, just to be safe, I did some research, specifically on the LEDs to see if they could affect temperatures in any way (I wanted the non-RGB version, but strangely enough, it cost a lot more). Well, I noticed that several users have reported rather high temperatures with EXPO enabled during prolonged sessions, as well as repeated BSODs. This actually happened to my friend too (I hadn't given it much thought because I assumed it was a driver timeout). They claim that the heat dissipation isn't good because there are no thermal pads on the PMIC.

For this reason, they recommend other sticks like the Kingston Fury Beast, Teamgroup Delta, or Corsair Vengeance. Since I'm still within the return window (the package hasn't arrived yet), is it worth doing a replacement, or is it just useless scaremongering?

My CPU is a 9800X3D, cooled by a be quiet! Light Loop 360 inside a Lancool 216.
