Kick v Twitch: An argument for continuing with both
Two words: content differentiation.
I love watching le wubs on Twitch because of the "scheduled"/somewhat "predictable" content: media share, booty games, field trips, all dat. I feel like a part of a long-term community who doesn't miss much, and I get a little bit of (healthy) FOMO when I miss much. It's genuinely where I can expect the "important" stuff to happen.
I ALSO love watching red velvet on Kick, for the exact opposite reason... I can half-watch him suck (like me) at videogames, and it's the BEST *background* type content - in moments, even better (more relaxed) than the "regular" content. I DON'T get the same FOMO here. (Unless the wheel game is sick).
I feel like using both is the single simplest (best) way to differentiate these types of streams, and to make it clear what you're tuning into (or missing out on). I really enjoy one as the main events, and the other as the wild west.
(I still watch VODs of the best stuff regardless of source.)

Ads on twitch are something I personally would NOT have problems with. Install uBlock Origin, and then follow these instructions to block all twitch ads:
