Shopping list for newly assumed pool

Hello! I am purchasing a house that comes with a pool and have been trying to learn the basics. It is an in-ground pool with vinyl liner and sand filter.

The last pool service would be a few days before we take ownership so I'd like to have everything on hand for day one.

I plan to purchase right away:

  • Taylor test kit
  • A hose that can reach every corner of the pool from the skimmer
  • Telescoping pole that goes 8' to 16' (at least)
    • Skimmer net, nylon brush, and vacuum head that attaches to this pole
  • Metal sequestrant to have on hand if I need to add water because it's on well water
  • Baking soda (increase pH+alkalinity), muriatic acid (decrease pH), and chlorine granules (for chlorine and CYA)
  • Some kind of aerator (to help increase pH)
  • Later- possibly calcium hardness increaser?

Is there anything you'd add to this list or specific product you'd recommend?

Thanks in advance.
