CRASH PAD DCA

Hi everyone! I I was assigned DCA as my base. I was hoping for CLT since I live in Charlotte, NC.
For those based at DCA:
Is getting a crash pad in DC worth it?
Do you stay at the crash pad while on reserve and go back home on your days off?
How much do crash pads typically cost near DCA?
Looking back, would you recommend a crash pad, hotel, or something else?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
