((The Image I am using is technically a piece of fanart for “Hallownest”, but it honestly fits with how I think this dimension between dimensions would look like, so, I guess this place is basically hallownest now! Just…y’know, without the ever-looming threat of something basically every hollow knight fan knows.))

***Adeline’s experimenting with her Umbrakinesis after her lesson on how to try and control it with Prince Blaze from a Sol Dimension of a different timeline, when suddenly she teleports to a place never seen before…***

***While Adeline is trying to figure out where she is, she starts focusing and teleporting around, trying to get a better look at the place she’s at. Eventually she stops teleporting and just walks around a plaza-type place, before sitting on a bench, as rain begins to fall…***

***Adeline makes a shadow construct of a roof over her head and she falls asleep…It’s hours in the shadow realm before she’s awoken by a friendly yet unfamiliar face…although, it’s only been mere moments in the real world.***

Adeline: “H-Huh..?”

???: “Hello Miss!”

Adeline: “Woah!”

***Adeline jumps up and hits her head on her shadow construct from before she fell asleep***

Adeline: “Agh- Oh Sweet Gaia Below that hurt…S-Sorry you just surprised me…”

???: “I do apologize for that…W-What brings you here?”

Adeline: “Well uh…I was just…brought here somehow, I don’t know *how* I was, but it happened nonetheless…M-Maybe it was related to my abilities?”

???: “Darkness Manipulation, I take it?”

Adeline: “Y-Yeah!”

???: “That would explain it a good bit then…Uhm, Welcome! To the Dimension between Dimensions…also known as the ‘Shadow Realm’, although some people do call it ‘Cryptic Zone’, they’re both interchangeable names for this place…Who may you be?”

Adeline: “U-Uhm..I-I’m Adeline, Adeline Tessa Wolf, I-I’m a Mobian f-from a different timeline.”

???: “Well, Adeline, I do hope that you can become comfortable in this place, You’re gonna be stuck here for a good bit until you can control your Umbrakinesis good enough to find a way back to the actual dimensions of this timeline, the powers you have can be a bit…unpredictable at times when sending you places though, there’s always a chance you might end up in a different dimension then the one you intended to go to, I once met somebody trying to enter the dimension you arrived from and ended up in the Sol Dimension…Poor guy drowned before even the Pirates could get him…”

Adeline: “W-What?!”

???: “Relaxxx, it’s incredibly, like a 1 in 10,000 chance.”

Adeline: “O-Oh…Okay…Say, who are you anyway?”

???: “I’m afraid I cannot disclose that information at this current moment, rest assured however, the inhabitants of this place are quite friendly to new arrivals such as yourself…”

***The Mysterious Figure disappears, leaving Adeline alone with her thoughts for a bit before the rest of the inhabitants of the Shadow Realm or Cryptic Zone or whatever you folks choose to call it begin to awake and walk around the area, it’s surprisingly peaceful for a city like this…***

((For those who do not know: Umbrakinesis is the ability to mentally generate, shape, and control darkness and by extension, shadows, it’s also sometimes referred to as Erebokinesis))

((Also, Silver, your thread to that post about Adeline trying to find a silver or Blaze variant will be canon, I’m just gonna say it takes place before the interaction with Prince Blaze though.))
