A few questions

I am new to machine sewing, have done a fair amount of hand sewing and embroidery and have zero quilting experience.

I want to add some applique to a pair of overalls.

1. has anyone bought from this shop? https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheQuiltingMary

It has some red flags for being so but the style seems really consistent, and I don't really know how to tell that in this craft.

2. if a have a foundation paper pricing pattern for a quilt plock, can I just do the central picture and skip the block bit? It seems like you could but are there unexpected problems? .

Any additional advice or cool bug patterns are definitely welcome
