Gateway upgrade for competition

I'm getting gateway to play with my spouse who has no tcg experience, I want to play in locals for fun but don't want to waste the cards in gateway so I asked Google to make me a competitive deck and got this. What do you guys think of it? I also tried to avoid having too many cards that will be rotated out soon. I plan on picking up the missing cards from TCGplayer. Cards that are already in gateway I put in parenthesis behind.
