(18f) I'm focusing on being a better version of myself, but my best friend (18m) is having a tough time with it

Friends

I've always been very nerdy and socially awkward, so making friends has been really hard. That's why I'm so happy that I've got my best friend. We've known each other ever since we were little. We live right next door to each other and our parents get along really well too. He's really nerdy too, in the best way possible. He's really into anime and video games, and he's gotten me hooked on sooo many amazing shows and games. We're both each others only friend and it's been that way pretty much forever.

At the start of this year, I told myself I would try and improve myself. I wanted to be less socially awkward, and try to care more about being pretty. My mom always told me that it's a shame I didn't care about my appearance more, since she thinks I'm really pretty. So I decided to actually do it. I started getting into makeup, wearing it every day. I also started caring more about what clothes I wear, buying some stuff I never thought I'd be brave enough to wear in public. And I tried being more outgoing, talking to more people and acting friendly and bubbly. I also got breast implants, which really shocked people. I told my parents about it beforehand and they were really supportive. I spent all of my savings on it. I've always admired big chested women, I think they look so pretty, that's honestly the only reason for getting them, I just think they're super cool.

My best friend has taken all of this kind of hard. He says he feels like I'm changing too much, and that he can't really recognize me anymore. He's trying to be supportive, but it's touch. He doesn't like going out with me anymore because I get hit on a lot when we're in public. I just want to hang out with him like we used to.
