Thinking ahead on boy names!

Hey everyone!

I am not pregnant, but my husband and I do plan to try in the next year, and I’ve always loved names/thinking about the names of my future children.

We have 2 top girl names picked out (and so many others that I love), but boy names are so dang hard and I’ve been thinking about what the heck we would name a boy if we end up having one.

For context, my husband‘s family is Irish and I was raised Catholic in the Southern US. Our last name is Brown so I’d love for the name to not be super common/indistinct. We are also big nature nerds. Love bugs, birds, you name it.

Names I’m liking right now: August, Rory, Isidore, Ambrose, Bernard
Names I like but are too common: Henry, Oliver, Theodore
Names I like but do not like the nn: Gerard, Robin

My husband likes Oliver, Benjamin, Cameron, August, Brennan, and Robin

If it helps, our girl name choices are Brigid and Nadine.
