How many of you know about the Threshold Hypothesis ?
Basicly it's a bottle neck at around 120IQ.
Everything bellow has a positive correlation with convergent (problem solving) thinking and divergent thinking (creativity). Meaning they correlates highly. So someone with a high tested IQ should , statisticly have more chance to have a high creativity, in a significant way.
That is not the case for ppl after 120IQ+. It just distribute naturally without correlations.
This means there are statstically more chance for people to exhibit ''unbalanced'' profile traits of thinking after 120IQ. About 50% - 50%.
That is if you subcribe to the idea that cognitive intelligence could be describe or summarized has hvaing 2 umbrella terms, divergent and convergent thinking.
This would make it so that we see lot's of profile who ressemble autism but are not factually autistic under medical qualifications.
This seems to be the case in my subjective experience that indeed lot's of gifted people exhibit ''autistic-like'' traits. I think it is supported ?
The explaination behind this seems to be that convergent thinking when paired with low divergent thinking creates this sort of tunnel vision that lack horizontal (pure linkability, outward) playground but can effectively still play vertically with concepts (pure complexity, inward).
So for exemple about half of gifted people have an easy time at generating ideas that make ''no sense'' but the other half simply has a hard time as they are not wired to accept those ''silly'' answers in their brain.
This has some important impact with generating new ideas and theories as balanced profile usually perfom best in those areas. While unbalanced profiles usually prefer resolving complex equations within those theories.
They did tests and factually yes, it seems to be the case. Some people struggled to generate 3-4 ideas while other generated easily 20+.

personnal reason and biases,
I'm 3e (yes it was verifiy by tests and neuropsychiatrist im not just bullshiting my way trought this) and have a very high/severe ADHD-like brain that generates random ideas all the time.
To me it make sense to make that statement as divergent thinking is link to openness and I see a lack of it in Mensa and other Gifted spaces, yet many claim to be ''smart''.
I'd like to challenge what smart or cognitively intelligent means if someone is close minded.
The same can be said if you generate many cool ideas with no understanding of what lies in them.

Bref,
This is just a tought. I dont hold the only truth. This is merely a thoery. I can view many points at one. Please engage in an agreeable manner or critic it with verifiable source without indirectly insulting me so we can engage in constructive manner.
At this point if im getting downvoted im just gunna avoid any gifted spaces as being iconicaly close minded.
Im not looking to shaming anyone Im just reframing a vision that was imposed by academical circles onto ''gited'' ppl, that sometimes view us as some animal circus, still to this day in some case.
