with the majority of the posts here being about getting nexplanon removed and the potential negative side effects (understandably bc i know for some people it really is awful and im so sorry for you all), i wanted to say i absolutely love my implant. i definitely have some irregular bleeding, but mine is always pretty light tbh. as someone who cannot take pills on time for the life of me and wouldn’t ever consider an IUD, nexplanon has been amazing. i used to be so freaking anxious and was taking too many plan b’s and feeling just awful. the irregular bleeding has just been an inconvenience and is FAR outweighed by the peace i have now. i was in a 4 year relationship with a girl and never really thought about pregnancy risks until recently so i was very overwhelmed with all the birth control options and everything. i finally landed on nexplanon for the >99% efficacy and the fact that it didn’t need to go inside my vagina😶😭 and now i don’t need to remember to take pills, panic if i forgot, overload my body with hormones from plan b, or spend so much money on pregnancy tests.
